Homicide of Dalton Marshall
November 12, 2015

Crime Stoppers Featured Case #15-41
 
The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to solve the homicide of a 19-year-old Vancouver, Washington man.

On November 12, 2015, at 2:04 a.m., North Precinct officers responded to the intersection of North Bruce Avenue and Hudson Street on the report that a man was down in the street, bleeding and unconscious.

Officers and medical personnel arrived and located the victim, 19-year-old Dalton Marshall, and determined that he was deceased and had suffered at least one apparent gunshot wound.

The Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy and ruled his death a homicide.
Homicide detectives believe that Marshall may have been socializing along North Interstate Avenue in Portland in the hours prior to his death.

There is no suspect information and no known motive for his death.

Homicide of Laray Seamster
November 11, 2015

Crime Stoppers Featured Case #15-40
 
The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to solve the Eliot Neighborhood homicide of a 26-year-old man.

On Wednesday November 11, 2015, at 3:16 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to the report of a shooting at North Vancouver Avenue and Fargo Street.

Officers and medical personnel arrived and located the victim, 26-year-old Laray William Seamster, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Seamster was transported to a Portland hospital for treatment but died shortly after arrival.

Witnesses have told police that two younger African American males were involved in the shooting and ran out of the area, possibly leaving in a silver vehicle.

Seamster was known to police as a gang associate but it is not clear to detectives if this played a role in his death.

October 18, 2015

Crime Stoppers Featured Case #17-28
 

The Portland Police Bureau, in partnership with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public’s help to solve a 2015 homicide.

 

On Sunday October 18, 2015, at 11:15 p.m., Central Precinct officers responded to the report of a shooting at Southwest 3rd Avenue and Burnside Street.

 

Officers and medical personnel arrived and were directed to the parking lot behind Dante's, located at 380 West Burnside Street, where they located 23-year-old Dion Anthony Matthews Jr. deceased. The Oregon State Medical Examiner determined that Matthews died of a gunshot wound.

 

Witnesses described seeing people running from the area and vehicles being driven away after the shooting.

Homicide of Maurice Gatson
October 03, 2015

Crime Stoppers Featured Case #18-14
 
The Portland Police Bureau, in partnership with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to solve a 2015 homicide.

On Saturday October 3, 2015, at 12:45 a.m., Portland Police East Precinct and Gang Enforcement Team (GET) officers responded to the report of someone shot outside the Pallas Club, located at 13639 SE Powell Boulevard.

Officers and medical personnel arrived and located 45-year-old Maurice Anthony Gatson suffering from fatal gunshot wounds. Gatson is survived by his wife and two children.

The suspect has been described as a Black male adult.

Homicide detectives have released surveillance video of the shooting to aid in the identification of the suspect. Warning -- the video is graphic and may upset some viewers but is being released with the consent of Gatson's family.

Homicide of Frank Wilson

Crime Stoppers Featured Case #18-21
 
The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to solve a 2015 homicide.

On September 24, 2015, 68-year-old Frank Wilson of Gresham was found dead in his vehicle in the parking lot of the Trillium Lake Sno Park off of Highway 26, East of Government Camp. Wilson was seated inside his white 2003 Ford F150 extended cab pick-up truck, with a “Vietnam Veteran” sticker in the rear window.
Investigators believe that Wilson was killed sometime on September 23. The Oregon State Medical Examiner determined that Wilson died of a gunshot wound to the chest and ruled the death a homicide.

Wilson was a long-time businessman who owned and operated Clackamas Tire and Brake.

Investigators are seeking any information from the public to help solve this case. Anyone who had contact with Wilson between Monday September 21, 2015, and Wednesday September 23, 2015 is encouraged to share that information.
 
Investigators also believe that someone may have inadvertently altered the crime scene prior to police arrival and would like to hear from that person or persons as well.

Homicide of Stephen McCorvey Jr.
September 23, 2015

Crime Stoppers Featured Case #15-35
 
The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to solve a homicide.

On Wednesday September 23, 2015, at 8:34 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to the area of Northeast 15th Avenue and Buffalo Street after multiple reports of gunfire in the area.

Officers arrived in the area and located a vehicle occupied with two gunshots victims. Medical personnel responded to the scene and transported a 41-year-old female victim from the scene with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

30-year-old Stephen Dwayne McCorvey Jr. died at the scene. The Oregon State Medical Examiner determined that McCorvey died as a result of the shooting.
At this time, there is no suspect information.

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to solve a double homicide.
 
In the morning hours of September 2, 2015, the deceased bodies of 49-year-old Brenda Schumacher and her fiance, 53-year-old Lance Fischer, were found in their home at 16211 Southeast Hearthwood Street in Clackamas, Oregon. 

The Oregon State Medical Examiner determined that their deaths were the result of homicidal violence. 

Detectives believe that the victims were killed sometime between the evening of August 28 and September 2, 2015.

Fatal Hit and Run of Marlene Popps

Crime Stoppers Featured Case #15-26
 
The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to solve a hit and run to a pedestrian.

On Saturday July 4, 2015, at 9:58 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle at Southeast 60th Avenue and Holgate Boulevard.

Officers and medical personnel arrived and located the victim, 60-year-old Marlene Popps, suffering from traumatic injuries. She was transported by ambulance to a Portland hospital for treatment but succumbed to her injuries and died on July 21, 2015.

Investigators believe that the victim may have been struck by a person riding a motorcycle or a three-wheel motorcycle.

Homicide of Erick Carnegie

Crime Stoppers Featured Case #15-19
 
The Gresham Police Department, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to solve a homicide.

On May 11, 2015, at 11:21 p.m., a witness called 9-1-1 to report a shooting that occurred at a residence located at 1815 NW 7th Place in Gresham. Officers and medical personnel arrived and located 25-year-old Erick Austin Carnegie deceased after an apparent shooting. At the time, there was a known medical marijuana growing operation at this residence.

A witness reported to police that while Carnegie was walking up to the front door of the residence, two suspects approached him from behind and forced him inside the residence.

During the incident inside, Carnegie was shot and killed. After the shooting, both suspects immediately ran to a vehicle, which was parked a short distance away from the residence.

Detectives believe the suspects may have been in the neighborhood for some time, prior to the shooting.

The suspects are described as:

An African American male in his mid-20s, light-skinned, 6’0” tall, skinny build, wearing a dark-colored hoody, bandana covering his face, and black shoes. This suspect was armed with a handgun.

An African American male, unknown age, dark-skinned, 5’8” tall, 160 to 170 pounds, goatee, 2” Afro, wearing a burgundy sweatshirt. This suspect was armed with a Taser.

Homicide of MIchael Harvey

Crime Stoppers Featured Case #15-14
 
The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to solve a Downtown Portland homicide.

In the early evening hours of Wednesday April 8, 2015, Central Precinct officers responded to Southwest Naito Parkway under the Morrison Bridge to check a man down on the ground.

Officers and medical personnel arrived and located the male who was deceased. Officers learned that the man was homeless and may have been involved in an altercation with another homeless male.

The Oregon State Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy on the victim, 60-year-old Michael Harvey, and determined that he died of homicidal violence (blunt force trauma).

The only suspect description available to detectives is a male white, 30 to 40 years old, average height and weight, likely homeless.
