Crime Stoppers Featured Case #16-15 – Bank Robbery


The Portland Police Bureau in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public’s help to solve an armed robbery at a Northeast Portland bank.

On Friday July 29, 2016, at 1:16 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to the report of a bank robbery at the Albina Community Bank, located at 2002 Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

Officers arrived in the area and contacted bank employees who told police that the suspect was armed with a knife as he demanded money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect left the bank without incident.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s to 30s, wearing a green t-shirt and jeans.

Surveillance images of the suspect are being released publicly to aid in the investigation.

Crime Stoppers of Oregon offers cash rewards for information, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to an arrest in any unsolved felony crime and tipsters can remain anonymous.

Information about unsolved homicides can lead to a reward of up to $2,500 cash. All other unsolved felony crimes are eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000.

Information learned from social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter or YouTube should be shared as these tips may lead to the identification of a suspect or suspects. Links can be shared anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
