CRIME STOPPERS FEATURED CASE April 10, 2015
CRIME STOPPERS CASE # 15-14 HOMICIDE

The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public’s help to solve a Downtown Portland homicide.

In the early evening hours of Wednesday April 8, 2015, Central Precinct officers responded to Southwest Naito Parkway under the Morrison Bridge to check a man down on the ground.

Officers and medical personnel arrived and located the male who was deceased. Officers learned that the man was homeless and may have been involved in an altercation with another homeless male.

The Oregon State Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy on the victim, 60-year-old Michael Harvey, and determined that he died of homicidal violence (blunt force trauma).

The only suspect description available to detectives is a male white, 30 to 40 years old, average height and weight, likely homeless.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $2,500 for information, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to an arrest in this case, or any unsolved felony, and tipsters can remain anonymous.
