2013 Homicide of Donte’ Young Remains Unsolved – Reward of Up to $2,500 Offered

The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public’s help in solving a 2013 homicide.

On Monday October 7, 2013, at approximately 2:00 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to the report of a shooting in the 9500 block of North Burr Avenue.

Officers and medical personnel arrived and located the victim, 33-year-old Donte’ Al-Wa’Keel Young, deceased after being shot by an unknown assailant.

Officers talked with a number of witnesses at the scene and learned that a large group of people fled the area before police arrived. Detectives believe these witnesses may have information critical to the investigation.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $2,500 cash for information, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to an arrest in this case or any unsolved homicide, and tipsters can remain anonymous.
