The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public’s help to identify two suspects in an assault.
In the early morning hours of December 15, 2015, Central Precinct officers responded to the report of a stabbing and assault in the 500 block of Southeast Grand Avenue.
The two victims flagged down a taxi and as they were attempting to get into the cab, one suspect approaches them on foot and says he’s going to rob the cab. The victims start to run away in separate directions. One victim, a 30-year-old male, is stabbed in the abdomen, while the other victim, a 32-year-old male, is beaten by several suspects.
Both victims were treated for their injuries at a Portland hospital.
The suspect that committed the stabbing is described as a white male in his 20s, 5’6” tall, medium build, “Asian-type” eyes, a narrow/pointy chin, reddish/brown curly hair, wearing a blue baseball hat with white lettering.
Forensic sketches of the stabbing suspect and one of the other suspects are being released to aid in this investigation.
