CS #12-06 Takeover Bank Robberies >>
The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, the Eugene Police Department, and Federal Bureau of Investigation, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers, is asking for your help in identifying a violent armed robbery suspect.
On December 15, 2011, a white male armed with a snub-nosed, blued revolver entered the Home Federal Credit Union, located at 25 Division Street in Eugene, Oregon. The suspect conducted a violent, takeover-style robbery of the bank and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.
On January 26, 2012, the same suspect entered the Chase Bank branch located at 12400 Southeast Sunnyside Road in Clackamas, Oregon. During this robbery, the suspect was armed with two handguns: a snub-nosed, blued revolver and a large silver revolver. The suspect again conducted a violent, takeover-style robbery and fled the area with an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect is described as a white male, 5’08” – 6’’00” tall, with a medium to heavy build, wearing blue coverall type pants, a blue coat, black mask, and black gloves.
The Oregon Financial Institutions Security Taskforce (FIST) is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction the suspect. FIST is a cooperative effort made up of representatives from banks, savings and loans, and credit unions, as well as representatives from local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. The purpose of FIST is to help reduce crimes committed against financial institutions to make their staff and customers safer.
Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to an arrest in this case, or any unsolved felony, and you can remain anonymous.
