CRIME STOPPERS CASE # 15-16 HOMICIDE
Portland Police Bureau Case #15-121799
The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public’s help to solve a homicide that occurred in Northeast Portland’s Woodlawn Neighborhood.
On Tuesday April 14, 2015, at 12:18 a.m., North Precinct officers responded to multiple reports of gunshots heard in the area Northeast Dekum Street and Claremont Avenue.
Arriving officers began checking the area, including Woodlawn Park, when a caller reported a person down in a residential parking lot in the 6800 block of Northeast Claremont Avenue.
Officers and medical personnel arrived and located the victim, 24-year-old D’Andre Dickerson, and determined that he was deceased after being shot multiple times.
At this point, there is no suspect information that has been given to police.
Dickerson’s last known address is in Seattle, Washington and it is not known why he was in Portland or where he may have been staying locally.
Detectives would like to hear from anyone with information about the shooting or Dickerson’s ties to Portland.
Information learned from social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter or YouTube should be shared with investigators as these tips may lead to the identification of a suspect or suspects. Links can be shared directly with investigators or anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to an arrest in this case, or any unsolved felony, and tipsters can remain anonymous.
